Use this form to customize the look of selected table cells.

Use Default button
Reverts formatting of the cells to the default.
Layout
Alignment
The alignment of content within the cells. The first field affects vertical alignment and the second affects horizontal alignment.
Padding
The number of pixels of space around all sides of the content in the cells.
These cells must still fit the specified size of any other cells that share the same row/column. For example, if you select all cells in one row, you can make that row height taller or shorter than the height of nonselected cells. But you can't make the width of the selected cells wider or narrower than the width of the nonselected cells that share columns with them. If you increase the space around content too much, content will wrap to keep the cell width in line with the overall column width.
Column width
The width of the column in which the cells are located. Use the second field to specify this as a percentage of the total table width or as an absolute value in pixels.
Columns have a default minimum width. You can neither make the column narrower than that minimum, nor widen it so much that another column would become narrower than the minimum. You also can't widen the rightmost column without first making the table narrower.
Row starts new page
Places the row containing the cells on a new page in page width view mode, in a presentation, or when printed.
Borders
Horizontal
Makes the cells' bottom borders visible. Set the border width in the following field.
Borders that are part of the outside table border aren't affected.
Vertical
Makes the cells' right borders visible. Set the border width in the following field.
Borders that are part of the outside table border aren't affected.
Background
Use color
The color to use for the cells' background. To use anything other than white, you must select both the checkbox and the color you want.
